Rumfy
Can some one tell me why it is possible for me to boot my Snow Leopard installation with the EmpireEFI bootCD, but unable to boot my Snow Leopard installation with my Chameleon bootloader? If the kexts and boot files differ from each other, isn't it possible to install the chameleon bootloader from the empireEFI cd with their kexts? Now I have to boot with the EmpireEFI CD every time. It seems like my Chameleon bootloader fails on the NVenabler.kext that I installed for my 9800GTX+ videocard. Please help me complete my installation on my Asus P5KPL-VM motherboard, this is the very last step that I need to achieve.

Rumfy
With 9800GTX+ you don't need NVenabler.kext. Hi Giorgio after deleting the NVenabler.kext I get the following error. It still doesn't boot my Snow Leopard installation.
Giorgio_multi
boot with -s flag and at the prompt type: mount -uw / <return> cd /System/Library/Extensions <return> rm -rf NVDAresman.kext <return> rm -rf NVDANV50Hal.kext <return> reboot <return> If you can enter in the System, youcan add these 2 lines to com.apple.Boot.plist: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> and without reboot install Chameleon 2,0 RC5 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=78437 and reinstal NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV50Hal.kext with kexthelper. With P5KPL-VM the best way is install a Retail Snow Leopard, all works, Sleep, audio, etc.

The kext is not needed but there is no harm i nhaving it. The problem is the bootloader that was installed is not compatible with your system. Otherwise you wouldn't have needed Empire EFI to boot the distro. Boot into OSX with Empire EFI and install #####. If you can boot with Empire EFI you can boot from the HD with #####. Good luck! Rumfy
I still have problems booting up my snow leopard installation. I reinstalled Snow Leopard because I couldn't get the old chameleon bootloader away. But after the reinstall the old bootloaders still boots... I am now trying to delete every partition that I don't use, because I think the bootloader is installed on a very small partition. Strange .... This post will be updated soon. Rumfy
Gentlemen, I resolved the last issue myself but when finally resolved I got a new problem . I installed some Kexts in my Extra/Extensions folder and I am now able to boot with my own Chameleon bootloader 2.0-RC5-r568. But when I boot with this Chameleon bootloader my ethernet card isn't working anymore. It says "Not Connected" as if the cable is unplugged. When I look into "About This Mac" Ethernet Card: It says there are no ethernet cards installed. When I boot with my EmpireEFI bootcd my ethernet card works, and when I look at "About This Mac" Ethernet Card it says: ethernet: Type: Ethernet Controller Bus: PCI Vendor ID: 0x1969 Device ID: 0x1048 Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1043 Subsystem ID: 0x8226 Revision ID: 0x00b0 Link Width: x1 BSD name: en0 Kext name: AttansicL1Ethernet.kext Location: /System/Library/Extensions/AttansicL1Ethernet.kext Version: 1.0.0 I tried to reinstall the kext in System/Library/Extensions and in Extra/Extensions, both without succes. Can some1 help me please? When booting with my Chameleon bootloader the error is: couldn't alloc class AttansicAtherosL1........... etc.
Rumfy
Do I need to edit the plist off this Atheros kext in the Extra/Extensions folder? I don't get why my ethernet card works while booting with EmpireEFI and why it malfunctions when I boot with my own Chameleon loader... Please help.
