I successfully installed OSX but I can't boot it. I added the following to my GRUB config for OSX:

rootnoverify(hd0,3)

makeactive

chainloader +1

But everytime I try to boot OSX it gives me a GRUB Error 13 of : Invalid or unsupported executable format.

I used the JaS 10.4.6 Install DVD and applied the patches. I even booted off the install DVD and ran a HFS+ partition check which says it's fine & healthy. So I don't know what's wrong. The partition is fine because I can mount it in linux and cfdisk is properly set with it being the AF partition ID + bootable. It's a primary parittion right after my windows partition and before my linux partition. I really don't know what's wrong :) . I even tried the chain0 method but that doesn't work either with an error of "Chain loading failed." Any other ideas?

What kind of hard drive are you using? the chain load error means chain couldnt find the HFS partition.

If you're using an SATA drive, what's your chipset? nForce sets before nForce4 have no sata support, and I know that sata support outside is scarce. I had luck installing on an extra partition on my hard drive (that never actually booted) as well as on an external usb drive. I don't know if the one on my real (unsupported SATA) hard drive even matters, but it was booting(from the USB), so I decided not to mess with it. I think it may be kind of 'tricking' chain into finding the partitions.
