Rammjet
Ven_8086Dev_24D5 is an Intel AC97 Sound Controller (ICH5). The 8086 is the vendor code of Intel. I don't think Realtek has anything to do with it. Here is an article from a person with Ven_8086Dev_24D5 who got his sound working: http://web.engr.oregonstate.edu/~rende/wp/...d-card-working/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23377-no-sound/#findComment-155241 Share on other sites

Rammjet
Did you read the article I linked. It is about a person with the same vendor and device ids as you and how he got his sound working.
