flacker Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 My machine has suddenly disallowed booting from USB, whether with memory stick or external hard drive, with the above halting error! Really weird, as it was just fine before. Furthermore, I can still boot via USB stick into Linux, and the same OSX hard drive, when installed internally, works just fine! Thus it seems to be a problem specific to the combination of USB/MacOS. Anybody have any ideas how to solve this? p.s Wikipedia has an interesting entry about this variety of "Hexspeak".
