GMA900 Solution in Snow Leopard 10.6.0-10.6.4

First Install the meklort BootLoader

then Install the following Kexts posted from the leopard sollution

You should now have full graphics acceleration without any garbled distorted top bar

 

or color depth / rgb issues

 

 

 

Post if this has worked for you or if it hasnt please include make model of the pc your using along with the hardware ID of your GMA 900, Im on a laptop and this has worked , supposedly its worked for netbooks aswell

this worked for me until 10.6.2. on 10.6.4 the kext loads but i dont have any hardware accleration gma 900 0x2582 dell optiplex gx280 desktop.

As noted in this post, best results are with the elliot kext, and the corresponding Framebuffer as has been posted previously.

 

Then using the chameleon mod from Meklort, seems to enhance the graphics performance visually, less artifacts.

 

Cosmetic drawback is that customized chameleon screen on boot show half the graphic, but maybe that can be fixed by different resized files. I can live with that. Does not affect selecting drive icons.
