SLy CaT
i upgraded to 10.4.6myzupdate from 10.4.4+10.4.5myz patch, and now i find my sata drive shows up with all the ntfs partitions (they wouldn't show up before in 10.4.5) is it completely safe to use? like it won't bug up and screw up the data? SLy CaT
oh, yeah. sorry, i forgot to mention a detail. my nforce mobo couldnt detect sata hd's. asus a8n-32sli. i read somewhere a while ago that forcing os x to read sata hd's using an nforce mobo would cause errors and corrupt data. i was wondering whether that is still the case. 1233666666
Well, I installed the 'nForce/VIA SATA patch' that came with my install DVD and my drives are recognised fine and I've been reading from my Data drive (NTFS, btw) with no corruption. Last time I tried it under 10.4.5 I lost my whole HDD, but now it's fine (IMHO)
SLy CaT
hm, i wonder if that patch is in the myz 10.4.6 update. i dont want to risk damaging my sata drive... as there is a lot of stuff i wish to keep.
