Hi there. I am trying to install 10.4.1 and then update all the way to 10.4.7, because I want to keep the 10.4.1 video drivers that worked for Intel 8x5 but didn't work in later versions.

However, I am finding it quite hard to understand which version is which and which one does what - this should probably be on the wiki. As far as I understand, there is no official 10.4.1 ir 10.4.3 for x86 platform.. they are developer versions. For mactel, the software starts with 10.4.4 (this is the one shipped with the mactels).

However, there is a file around with a 10.4.1 to 10.4.3. Is there anything to do .3 to .4 or .5?

I know that the Jas update works from 10.4.5 to 10.4.7 - but will it work from .1, .3 or .4? What is the Semjaza update?

Thanks!

What you want to do won't work as soon as you install a newer version you will lose your 10.4.1 video drivers.

Also that 10.4.1 to 10.4.3 is not a true update to 10.4.3 it only some parts but you are still running 10.4.1

Have you tried installing 10.4.6 then loading the video drivers from 10.4.1

What video card do you have?

hi technobob, I have an intel integrated 855. apparently, it works with the fake upgrade to 10.4.3, but people have tried the old drivers on new versions and it hasn't worked...

we are looking for a coder, we even have a modest bounty...

any clues for us?

thanks
