2. Try it and see (I don't think so, dependency issues)

3. No, VoodooHDA only works from S/L/E and if AppleHDA.kext loads on your system you must remove it.

 

It's perfectly safe to use 3rd party kernel extensions in S/L/E, Apple updates will not overwrite them.
