db.18
Hey guys, so I'm considering building my own desktop since I don't want an iMac and used Mac Pros are way overpriced... I'm wondering if 1) this potential setup will work without issue, and 2) do you guys worry about incompatibility with OS updates? Both minor ones like 10.6.x as well as 10.x. Anyways, the parts: Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHz Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P MSI N250GTS (1GB GTS 250) - will I have problems after softmodding this to a Quadro? 2x Corsair XMS3 2x2GB (8GB total) StarTech 3-port FW PCIe adapter card Thanks. avinash_4_ever
I don't want an iMac and used Mac Pros are way overpriced -> isn't this the main reason we build hackintosh ? change graphics use nvidia gtx 260 or above to be future proof check with wireless card in hackintosh forums whether it works or not and then decide to buy one ! Nameci
Overpriced mac is not the reason for me, it is the challenged of being able to run OSX on generic PC that keeps me running. I might dump this thing anytime soon and go for a real one once I don't have anything to tinker on this thing.
