tianh
Hey there guys, Ive heard from a friend that having a sata hard drive will not work, but that we need pata I dont know if this is true but I would defintely want to find out as i do not want to ruin a 3000 laptop in one night , and also after reading some threads, I still do not understand this whole deal about dual core and duo core because my laptop is centrino duo core and once again ruining a pricey laptop would be a damn shame , so any help would be great! Try to show me how to install on one processor only if you know how to Cheers! Greg11784
I am currently running OSX 10.4.7 on an HP dv8000t. I am also running the 7200rpm 100gb sata drive. Everything works fine. The installation works right off the bat. You have to do some changes to get the LAN,audio, and video working. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the wireless card. But there are solutions elsewhere on this site to find different cards to use. Good Luck with the install Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23236-just-for-confirmation/#findComment-168819 Share on other sites
BuXb
Installed Myzar 10.4/5 on my Toshiba with SATA, worked after deleting one XT, so the SATA problems seem to be local. Updated to 4.6, then to 4.7, Mac OS x86 is running!
