Whats up guys everything was going good for months! I decided tonight I was going to try and get sound working on my kakewalk SL. So i replaced my DSDT.aml with one from a thread here and now im getting a KP everytime I try and boot. I know there are 2 other copies of this file on my computer so if I could get in I could fix it. I lost my kakewalk boot cd and I dont have another mac to make one on. I have an external hd connected with a SL Install partition but I dont know how to boot from it. any help would be appreciated!

Transmac so you can read HFS+ on your Windows machine!

Its good for 15 days...

Simply swap your DSDT for the one that was working

You should back up using another spare patrician or another HDD/SSD, Carbon Copy Cloner

thanks for the quick reply. I found my windows 7 disk. figures I just went ALL OSX and got rid of my windows partition. I had the same idea as you did so im now about to install W7 to a partition. then I think my only problem will be getting the machine to boot back to SL without a disk. do you know how to do this?

bootable USB Key

tonymacx86 USB bootable USB

Search around prasys Hackintosh for installing OSX SL with an MBR patrician. This is so you can have both Windows7 and OSX on the same physical drive.

That sucks you might not need to hose (figure of speech) your SL install at all if you have a buddies computer so you can put your DSDT the way you had it before.

Try this DSDT
