Hi.

I'm running a Pentium D 820, Gigabyte 8I945GMF, 1GB KVR ram, Maxtor 120 GB PATA, Maxtor 160 GB Sata, Seagate 160GB Sata, LG DVD-RW

The PATA 120 GB is running OSX right now, and the Maxtor 160 SATA is running WinXP and booting OSX via the Chain0 method. The Seagate 160 Sata is empty, and not in use at the moment. I'm using the 10.4.6 guide located here: http://www.nedprod.com/Niall_stuff/MacOS%20X/index.html

Now, what I'd like to do is get either my OSX install from the 120 onto the Seagate 160 Sata, or a fresh install onto the Seagate 160. I figured I'd go the fresh install route, as the guide i used was very easy to follow and worked well. However, after following those directions to the letter, i'm faced with the multi-language reboot screen. I can't figure it out, as it's the same hardware, and if i plug my 120 PATA back in and remove the Seagate, it works perfectly. I'm going to try to use Ghost to get my install from my 120 onto the Seagate 160, but i'm pretty sure I tried that a few weeks ago with no luck. I'd really prefer to get a fresh install going, so that I can rest assured that it i have a HDD failure, I can at least get OSX running again.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Trevor

Ok, so I ran that RsyncX and it went all night, and I came in this morning and it had 2 items left. I halted the copy, as i'd checked it last nite and it was at the same spot. When i tried to boot from the copy, all i got was a black screen with a blinking cursor :(

Any other ideas?
