Hello, I just installed Snow Leopard off the retail disc and have it booting and running great for the most part. I have googled many times and i have searched this forum board and have come up with not a whole lot of luck on my current problem, I have not been able to find a Kext to install for my wireless card, it is a Realtek 8185 IEE 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Controller. I did come across this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t=#entry1445345 and i tried to copy what the poster did and i got SL to recognize that there was a network adapter installed, but it brings it up as an Ethernet connection, because that is what the Kext was designed for i am assuming, anyways, I found a Kext for this wireless card, here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...hl=Realtek+8185 , but it was designed for Leopard not Snow Leopard, i tried installing it, it came with an installer package i tried that first and then extracted the kext itself and tried to install that and no dice it didn't do anything, I have come across people who have updated older Kexts designed to work with Leopard and modified them to work with Snow Leopard, and i was wondering if it would be possible to do the same with this kext? thanks for all the help in advance!
