rtbrjason
I just installed onto a laptop with a sigmatel 9250 sound chip. So far no sound. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this? Neonkoala
Haven't heard of a Sigmatel 9250 before. You could try the tweak to get the 9220 working - search the forums - that might work. If its similar to the 9200 or 9223 then its possible that the driver being written will work (check the link in my sig for development progress and to ask james2mart about it). If neither of those work you may be out of luck I'm afraid unless you can get someone to port a BSD or ALSA driver. rtbrjason
Thanks for the reply. I did some digging here on the forums and didn't find any tricks relative to getting the 9220 working with 10.4.x. I haven't had any luck getting this working in Fedora C5 either so I'm not sure how similar the 9250 and 9220 are. In either case, can you point me towards the trick to getting the 9220 working and I'll give it a shot.
