tonyGriggs
Up until about an hour ago I had a very stable install. I was missing front panel audio and needed to address the wake-from-sleep issues, but other than that it was solid. I spent some time mucking with the Legacy kexts and couldn't get anywhere so I decided to give updating the BIOS a go as was suggested in several posts. After not being able to get Q-Flash to recognize my USB drive, I decided to switch over to my Window 7 partition and download @BIOS. This worked and I was able to get the BIOS flashed. Unfortunately, this appears to have completely hosed my OSX install. I get to the screen with the gray Apple logo, the loader icon spins for a long while, then eventually gets the circle with the cross line through it. Any thoughts? I'd really love to not have to completely reinstall. Thanks. -- tG Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/231079-bios-update-hosed-my-sl-install-on-ud3r/ Share on other sites
tonyGriggs
Whoops...figured it out. Needed to set the SATA settings back to ACHI after the flash. -- tG Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/231079-bios-update-hosed-my-sl-install-on-ud3r/#findComment-1543049 Share on other sites
_Jay_
Quicknote. Be very VERY careful when using @bios. It is a very unstable flasher. Always try to use QFlash. If your USB drive isn't detected, try using a USB floppy drive(Yeah they still exist, lol).
