I wish to point out that my computer supports instructions in MMX, SSE, SSE2. and NOT SSE3. So sse3 is missing. Will I still be able to run mac os? I once read somewhere that guys have installed OSX86 on Celerons with 4gb HDD wih 800 MHz speed. My computer is obiviously more advanced. Anyways you advice whether I should install OSX86 or not. Here are the complete specs: Name: Intel Pentium 4 pkg: mPGA-478 specs: Intel pentium 4 cpu 2.40 Ghz Insturction: MMX, sse, sse2 fsb: 133mhz bus speed 532mhz cache: 512kb L2 cache ram: 512 mb ddr hard disk: 38gb chipset: Intel d865 glc If you need anymore important information please tell me. rkwok Posted July 30, 2006 Share Posted July 30, 2006 The 865G will work but no QE and CI, SB Audigy is not supported, so you should use the onboard sound. Nic might, it all depends on the chipset. If you want trouble free install, put your IDE HDD and DVD ROM on the same IDE cable, that should reduce the chances of running into looking for root device.
