Hey, I have Hazard 10.6.2 installed on my PC and this specific distro has a weird looking "About this Mac". It's a transparent black, which I don't like. If someone with a real mac (Intel with 10.6) or someone who has a retail copy of snow leopard installed could give me a copy of their "LoginWindow.app", I would really appreciate it. Thanks in Advance, Nick :)

Hey Merrick, thanks for the post! They helped me out too. I definitely prefer the default look of the ATM window and to be honest I'd been searching off-and-on for a long time. :)

Now, with Hazard's distribution I also noticed that Installer windows also have a default background with that golden gas mask...in which case I don't even know where the files are. Could you help me with this?

I have the same problem with this... I have no idea where to find the image to swap it out :/ I've upgraded 10.6.6, so that is the only thing "Hazard Related" left on my machine...

Found it! I noticed that MacOSXServer.tiff was still the gasmask version (even though it wouldn't even have appeared in the OS for our setup) and I thought I'd look for the original, for consistency. And it brought me to this :D

The background for Installer is defaultBackground.tiff

I've also attached the .zip file in case you don't already have an account there.

And since we seem to have been in the same boat here, have you noticed that fixing permissions in Disk Utility gives you....nothing?

I used to get errors, but I think after I installed the 10.6.3 update they turned into a list of maybe 4 things that were "fixed."

I'm sure there's a lot more than just that =| unless my experiences with the old 10.4 installs were just a lot more permissions-issue prone?
