Hey there. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a fairly cheap (not incredibly expensive) laptop that can be hackintoshed well and can run games through OS X (good graphics card and drivers). Also, are the drivers for most graphics card good enough to play games on a hackintosh? Thanks in advance.

For gaming you don't want a laptop, unless you are willing to spend 3,000 bucks.

I have also learned (at least the 2 I have owned recently) that laptops don't make good hackintoshes. Normally something will work and something not. Besides installing and configuring OS X takes a lot more time and work.

If you want a good gaming PC and a good hackintosh, you want a desktop, and it will be a lot cheaper.

Have a look at my sig: my desktop is very compatible with OS X and it gets about 12,000 3dmark06 (and my video card isn't by far the best you can get).

My laptop gets half the 3dmark06 score and it is a pain with OS X.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Right now, Im at college so a desktop isnt that great of an option atm. Might check out something similar to your desktop at some point in the future.

Then you want a core i7 notebook with a video card the best you can afford. If you buy one with an ATI, make sure it is supported by OS X.
