(linux screwed up boot sector on same ide chip) However, I installed iTunes 5.0.1, Quicktime 7.0.2, Office 2004, Adobe CS2, MSN 4, all in one go before rebooting. I also changed resolutions. I have no idea which component is causing the problem. Let me know if you figure anything out. I might just try an update from the patched boot disc I made to install.
