MarkoITA
Hi! I installed Mac Os X with Generic Dvd Install. I delete all Ati kext driver and Mac Os runs in normal mode. Audio works fine but sometimes system blocks. However the resolution is low, 1024x768. it was 1280x1024 in windows xp. My Hardware is: P4 3 Ghz Prescott 512 Mb ddr400 Ram Ati Radeon X300 SE HD Realtek Audio I try Graphic Mode but the graphic card prints on LCD: Signal out of range. Do you know a method to set resolution at 1280x1024? Thx! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2278-success-on-hp-pavilion-pc/ Share on other sites

xSuRgEx
thats because your ATI is vesa 2.0 and users of vesa 2.0 card cant run in 1280x1024x32 etc.... i get the same error on my tft as you see. that error is down to the gfx card's bios if you type ?video at the darwin prompt you will see a list of resloutions your card supports. but still no way to have 1280x1024xwhatever your card supports. until we have working drivers for ATI cards. hope this helps.
