5870 driver ?

Hi,

First here is my config :

Asus P6T SE

Intel Core i7 930 @2,88ghz

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 1go

2x2go DDR3 PC3 1066 CAS 7

PowerMac G5 case

Retail 10.6.3 with vanilla kernel

 

I followed this tuto to install a retail Snow Leopard : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=183751

 

My problem is : I injected the ATY_Init.kext and the ATI5000Controller.kext, and in "about this mac" it says ATI Radeon HD 5870, on PCIe 16x, ect… but with only 256mo : wtf ? and I can't change the resolution in the preference system.

 

Would it help to go to 10.6.4 ?

 

What should I do ?

I've got it to work !!

So what i've done is :

 

Retail install with this tuto : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=183751

Upgrade to 10.6.4

I used [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] 2.1.2 to get my graphic card working

Then I reboot with this : -GraphicsEnabler=no -x32

And it works perfectly

 

I rebooted normally and it works great.

I don't know what you mean.

It's a Sapphire 5870 Vapor-x 1024 mo
