fedriko
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, During past months Paragon has been working on backup/restore software for Mac OS X – Paragon Rescue Kit for Mac OS X Lite. This version will be free and allow Mac users to prevent data loss in case of system crash by recovering vital data to another destination such as a removable drive or network share. It's also intended to backup and restore user's data. Please note, that all popular file systems are supported, even NTFS. This product is still in beta, hence free to download. They have provided an ISO to be burnt on a CD. It even runs on hackintosh without any problem, i've tested it myself. So, if you crashed your OS X and have important files that are needed to be backed up, this rescue CD may come in handy (Assuming, you aren't dual booting with windows). Try it. danielkza
Couldn't one just use the installation DVD's Disk Utility instead?
bonestonne
Technically, yes, you could use the installation DVD, but I'm pretty sure this is targeted for users who either lost it, or don't have it. I'll try it out, and see if it's useful in the shop where I work.
