TrentRyan
Hey guys, It took me about a couple hours but I now have a pretty much fully working osx86 install on my ga-x58a-ud5 board. When I go into the about this mac it show that I have 6gb of ddr3 ram installed; however when I go into the activity monitor it only shows4 gb of ram. I made sure I was booting into sl's 64 bit mode by going about this mac -> more into ->Software and it says that I am in 64 bit mode. Any ideas? TrentRyan
I took some screen shots to better explain what is going on. Hopefully they will help. THanks for any help you can offer! ram1.tiff ram2.tiff
Gringo Vermelho
It's not a 32/64-bit issue. Even in 32-bit mode, OS X can use up to 32 GB of RAM and (if the host CPU is EM64T capable) run 64-bit applications. It's not like Windows at all.
