XjoanX
Hi, i have been searching everywhere on how to use disabler.kext to disable other kexts, and found nothing, I was hoping someone here could tell me what to modify on its info.plist, the kext I want to disable is IOFirewireFamily.kext In case anyone is curious, I need to disable it on a genuine macbook, that has hardware problems with firewire, I deleted the kext, and it works, but when I try to update to 10.6.4 it crashes, due to this Firewire problem, so I think disabler.kext is my only hope, just need to find out how could i make it disable this kext Thanks! PS: If anyone knows other ways to permanently disable a kext, i welcome any suggestion, thanks! Gringo Vermelho
I would take a long and hard look at info.plist from disabler.kext and compare the contents to the contents of an info.plist from one of the kexts that disabler.kext disables. If you stare at the contents long enough maybe you can figure it out.
