kuruu
I have an Asus P4SGX-MX motherboard with an sse2 cpu. no furren wuckies. The host bridge chipset is SiS 650GX. Ide is SiS 5513 and this is where our issue is... Now, I have booted with darwin and get the same message. "Waiting for root device" I have tried half a dozen rdisk= configurations... tried with and without applying patches and with and without darwin kexts most prominately the IOAKITFAMILY or whatever it is called and and the TPM kext too... I am all but ready to give up, declare my ide chipset incompatible and fork over a few hundred for a new cpu and MB. for reference, i've tried all the different methods, vmware works, but slow, using a pata seagate drive... set to master. disconnected and disabled all other channels (just in case it worked, it didn't) disabled usb... and damn frustrated! ideas and suggestions please!!!
