ProphetEin
I'm having issues installing Snow Leopard, these are my system specs: Gigabyte EP45-UD3P (Intel Express P45 chipset) 4GB Ram Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Radeon HD 4670 I'm also using these two blog posts for directions for install SL, http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-instal...ut-using-a-mac/ , http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish .. I'm installing with a retail disc, using EmpireEFI, couldnt tell you the version, but i know its running chameleon 2 RC3 .. I have been trying to boot with legacy and non-legacy.. I also know that my hardware is supported (lifehacker is using the same board as mine, and people are reporting success with an E7400) .. Now to the basic problem, When I try booting with non-legacy, I guess thats where i get further, because i can get past the chameleon screen, and to loading screen with the apple, and the wheel under the apple will spin for about ten minutes, then out of nowhere, I will hear my drive spin up, then a blank page with bars shows up (image attached) When I try and boot with non-legacy.. I get to the chameleon screen, with a wheel spinning under the chameleon for about 10 minutes, and then a bank page out of nowhere, and the system hangs... I'm assuming it doesnt take this long to get to the installer.. so I thought I would post and ask for help.. I searched Google, and looked at the OSx86 wiki, and couldn't find a thing.. I haven't tried booting with #####, and I am about to, will post back with the results.. oldtopman
O-O oldtopman sees largest number of consecutive posts evar! (Use the edit button and bump if required (but not within a 24hr span)) Please wait until you have finished seeing how it will turn out before posting about how another site's guide doesn't work. /rant on-topic This screen takes time. Safe Boot takes forever. I'd give the installer 1hr. 1hr later Since it still doesn't work...WHY DIDN'T YOU USE ##### FIRST!!! You did eh... Double check your BIOS settings. ProphetEin
Sorry about all the posts, used to posting like that on Linux forums, I got to the install and its installing, I think it was the first time it locked at the language screen was because I let it sit idle (was taking forever to boot, so i walked away for a bit), it booted this time and installed to the "Install Failed" screen, gonna boot back up in safe mode and hope everything works Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/226510-snow-leopard-install-help/#findComment-1519316 Share on other sites
