KAMD
Hi! I'm going to SLi two GPUs for when I dual boot in windows 7 for games... but will osx (#####) boot with the cards sli or do I need to disconnect one when I want to boot in OSX? Thanks!
Mackilroy
OS X does not support SLI or Crossfire. You can run two cards together (easy on real Mac Pros, apparently takes some doing on hackintoshes) but they can only drive separate monitors, not work together. Cindori
i think he understands that, but wants to know if he has to disonnect either a card or the sli bridge in order for osx to boot with atleast one card present.
Jocelyn84
Yes, and it took me weeks to figure out. You need to edit your DSDT's PEG1/PEG2 areas, and while this may work on other motherboards, I've only done this with Gigabyte boards. Also, having an install of Window's helps, as you're able to get your device ID's. Read my thread below, as well as Kdaw's post #29 linked below to get it working. You'll also want to get your Device ID's via window's (easiest) and convert your cards memory to whatever is needed in the DSDT. If you can, let me know your system specs, especially the cards you're using and I may be able to help. I kinda summarize it in this thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=102 KDawg's code (post 29) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...83349&st=20 PS You can keep the SLI bridge on as Mac OS doesn't even recognize it.
