Tamed G
I know a bunch of people out there are using these fantastic laptops and having great success with SL using the Empire EFi installation method and very few kexts to get a nice install. (I'm one of them ) Just wondering if anyone has managed to work out how to fully power down their system with shutdown. Closest I get is CPU halt, screen off but my hardware lights and fan stay on. initial drift eg6
I have that same laptop and I'm currently working on installing 10.6. Would you mind sharing some problems and methods for getting OSX86 installed? So far I have no wireless, sound, direct rendering, screen rez and most of all my mouse is VERY 'laggy' Regarding your issue, I have experienced similar. I have this link below which might provide a solution http://gtdmarc.blogspot.com/2008/09/shutdo...on-os-x-86.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/225815-any-asus-g50g60-owners-managing-to-power-down-fully/#findComment-1515725 Share on other sites

Make sure you have bios 206 or higher ( use 207 for the G60 laptop) Make sure you use Empire Efi boot disk to install OSX Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/225815-any-asus-g50g60-owners-managing-to-power-down-fully/#findComment-1515729 Share on other sites
