Hi,

I installed Mac OSX 10.3 with a retail DVD with using ##### Supported. After installation I had to remove the /S/L/E/AppleHPET.kext so that I can use my usb devices. Now the Iphone and Ipod touch is recognized correctly. But after doing combo update to 10.6.4 with removing the AppleHPET.kext the Iphone and Ipod touch is not recognized correctly but other usb devices are recognized. Any idea what I can do to fix that problem?

Are they showing in system profiler or just not showing in iTunes?

Make sure you have the latest bios update for your mobo, that did the trick for me.
