Creating a bootable OS X usb on windows, possible?

I've been looking through various guides around here and it seems that most of them requires a working OS X installation in order to create the bootable disk/usb. The problem is I haven't got access to one at the moment.

I'm trying to setup a dual boot hackintosh on my Asus UL30v (got Windows 7 already installed) and since it lacks a dvd drive I need to setup a bootable usb.

I've already got the OS X iso, planning to use iAKTOS S3 (other people seemed to have installed it successfully on an asus ul30)

I've had some success formatting my usb as HFS+ using MacDrive, and then extracting the files in the .iso using UltraIso (although with some errors), but I still haven't found a way to make the usb bootable.

So for my question, is it possible to setup a bootable OS X usb on a pc (using Windows)? And if so how?

Any help is appreciated.

Alright, an update...

I tried using the leopard hd install helper v0.3 and actually managed to create a bootable usb.

Problem is, it doesn't get me far, gives me a "HFS+ partition error" on boot. I'm guessing the leopard hd install helper doesn't support iAKTOS...

It sure looks like it's close to impossible to create a working bootable OSX usb unless you do it from within OSX...
