The patent in question is all about those cute little white power bricks we're all familiar with. Apparently, Apple is saying other people are infringing on its patent by making white power bricks. If patents were then like they are today, those plans would have rotted away. Patents were to prevent theft, to encourage thought. Now a patent is like a trap; you get a patent, let it rot away or it goes unnoticed, then someone innovates. If someone wanted to mass produce that, they couldn't. Heck, MAKE could be sued for that!
