I have installed iAtkos S3 on my Intel DP43TF and almost everything works except for Ethernet adapter. I have not been able to get it working.

anyways, here's my installation options that I used.

Leave all defaults selected and just add the following...

- BOOTLOADER OPTIONS select all USB options.

- Drivers select Intel SATA/IDE and VIA SATA/IDE.

- SOUND use Voodoo HDA

- PS2 use Apple PS/2

- CPU POWER MANAGEMENT use Voodoo P-Atate

- NTFS-3G

- VGA select your graphics card type. For Nvidia cards select one of the EFI string and the NVEnabler.

- NETWORK (this is what I cant get to work) -WIRED - Intel Gigabit.

If for some reason you cannot boot into Snow without the DVD (meaning that you have to leave the DVD inside so you can choose OS) is because the partition is not active.

Boot without DVD can be fixed by..

fdisk –e /dev/rdisk0 (disk number)

flag X ( partition number)

write

update

quit

reboot

I hope this guide helps anybody using DP43TF. It works great if it wasnt for the network.

If anybody finds a fix for the Ethernet adapter please let me know.!!

Here a link for installation of Snow 10.6.3 on Intel DG31PR. everthing is working perfectly on 64-bit kernel i love it!!!

Your Ethernet will work with the Intel82566MM.kext.

Remove ( if any) any other Ethernet card installed on the PCI slots. If you have any, they hang the system on startup.

I am confused. I have the same mobo and the only thing pci card I have installed is my GT 240 and no internet at boot. I have tried vthe Gigabit kext included with iAtkos S3 Vs as well as one from the Leo 10.5.7 install.. and also a IntelE1000e kext which I installed with kext helper b7... Nothing doing.

I have thus far avoided the VoodooHDA for audio as on the Leo install they caused kernel panic and I simply could not boot after I installed it. Azalea workes for output only...

USb doesn't work for me... if I go back to the Leo install though and just install that kext included it will work though.

Any clues about how to resolve (at the very least) the ethernet problem?

If you have the same mobo everything should work with the settings we used. For the usb just select the usb on - BOOTLOADER OPTIONS select all USB options. When you are installing snow do not select any network driver. just install without it and then use Kext helper to install Intel82566MM.kext.

Everything should work. i have installed it on 4 DP43TF.
