Even if it were, installing a DVD on a USB 1.1 port would take days... best to get a firewire cable. Try this, borrow a newer Mac that has a DVD drive in it. Put it in Target Disk Mode (Hold T at startup), and hook it up to your iMac with a Firewire cable. Then hold option on the iMac as it starts up and chose the DVD Drive in the newer Mac as your DVD drive to install from. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
