knowskills
I have recently purchased a asus g72gx laptop after reading this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=215709 I am a bit of a osx86 newb and a lot of the terminology escapes me. Here is what I have been able to do. Boot the retail install dvd using #####. The install works perfectly and I also update to 10.6.4 with no problems at all. What doesn't work/I don't understand i cant boot from the hard drive. I don't know what DSDT is I have done a lil research and I am now even more confused then when I started. kexts (appear to be the same thing as modules for linux) I see people saying i need VOODOOHDA for audio but when i boot the computer with ##### the audio works just fine. So what I need help with. Getting the computer to boot without using the ##### cd. And setting up all the kexts and DSDT Thanks
