Hello,

Gigabyte GA x48

the problem is as below, image says everything!

It works in safe mode obviously, but in normal mode it gives above KP.

any solution for this?

btw, its working fine on HD4890 I have in another system ;).

-x

1- use the kext legacyati4800controller.kex (E/E or S/L/E)

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=59328

2- Graphicsenabler

Use Lizard

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1034555/lizard/Lizard-custom.zip

2a-Auto detect value

2b-GraphicsInjection

2c-save

REBOOT

this is added in boot.plist

"I still need to plug in an DVI->VGA adapter on the unused DVI port. Try this if you get a black screen instead of proper graphics."

This is the only problem I have with my SL. I just installed it from the beginning and tried to connect through VGA while having a DVI to HDMI in DVI port and a HDMI cable in HDMI port. First my screen became glitched while trying to boot and after I ran Lizard and the kext it began saying that there is nothing connected to display.

My video card is Sapphire Vapor Radeon HD 4850 1Gb. It has one VGA port, one DVI and one HDMI port.

try with .pkg

32 BIT

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W242MOW0

1- install radeon_hd_48x0_drivers-2.pkg

2- install Patched framebuffers for 48x0 and 3870

3- if not enable qe/ci, use exotics

4- if you need to use the natitpowerplay(BUG SCREEN JUMPING)

only 32 bits

Edit your boot.plist

arch=i386

OR

32/64 BIT

1- use the kext legacyati4800controller.kex (E/E or S/L/E)

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=59328

2- Graphicsenabler

Use Lizard

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1034555/lizard/Lizard-custom.zip

2a-Auto detect value

2b-GraphicsInjection

2c-save

lizard.png

REBOOT

this is added in boot.plist

GPUs with one DVI and one VGA input

do not know if it will work this second method

I would try the packs

several reports of problems with this type of GPU (DVI/VGA)

(DVI/DVI) was just plug in an DVI2VGA adapter on the unused DVI port.
