Elf89 Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 Hi everybody when i install the combo update 10.6.3 or 10.6.4 starting from 10.6 i have always kernel panic and then i cannot boot. in normal mode it freezes on apple logo with rolling circle, in verbose last things i see is in the file. thank you! convert2apple Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 What type of install are you using? Retail or distro? Which bootloader are you using? Which kexts are you loading? This type of info would make troubleshooting easier... (Not trying to sound snobbish, I am just a n00b at this myself, but more info would help others to figure out what's wrong.) Elf89 Posted July 11, 2010 Author Share Posted July 11, 2010 thank you for your answer i use tonymac's [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] with retail disc...i've not installed any kext and 10.6 works perfectly, but both updates cause same error... not booting...i have snow leo in external hard drive ( it is clean installation with no changes, just installed) i copy it to internal hdd partion , i apply the update, then i need always to restore... If yes then I would suggest posting a thread on his forum to get some help on it.
