Now I found a way to install but still can only boot into the installation by the CD that made the install. I installed with ##### 2.0 Supported and then installed with OSX 10.6 SL. Reboot all works but when install chameleon or any other bootlaoder I get what you mention, only way is to use the ##### disk and select the OSX HD installation. I also tried to update with 10.6.4 but it fails before the end and I need to start over. Next will be testing all sorts of loaders to get it to boot, then go for 10.6.4 and ati hd5650...let me know if you go from here. BR//Luis

So you didn't use the ATI #####? Maybe I should give the ##### Supported a shot, because I had no luck so far. Tried 10.6.4 fails, tried 10.6.3 Combo fails. Sounds like you don't have bootloader? If it is so, install Chameleon
LoLL
Hi, I tried to install vanilla 10.6.2 with usb key (chameleon plus basic kexts) It was ok, update to 10.6.3 broke network and 10.6.4, can't boot anymore (panic). So my timelinex is still under Seven and Fedora 13 (switch gfx thru vgaswitchroo nicely)... Waiting good solutions for X ;-) (i think a nice dsdt is needed)
luisclement
Sounds like you don't have bootloader? If it is so, install Chameleon Thanks but no, tried many bootloaders but won't go? Still stuck with 10.6.3 and no video support...
ianko
Hello everyone, I have an Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820T and didn't got success on updating to 10.6.4. I followed the tonymacx86 tutorial and got the osx booting and working normally, but without the wireless driver. When I tried to run the Mac OS X 10.6.4 Combo Update (with or without the ##### window opened), I got a kernel panic (a window that locks all the interation and imposes to reboot). After reboot, the 'loading' never ends. Has anyone went further? I'm now using it on a virtual box... But with a wrong resolution! I need a 1366x768 and I only get 1024x768. sabisun
Here I got the same result as luisclement. I am using acer 4820tg with i5-560 CPU, install SL via ##### is o.k. Update 10.6.2 Combo is o.k, but kernel panic when update 10.6.3 or 10.6.4. After update to 10.6.2, install ##### (with chameleon) ##### reboot continuously. Now I can only bootup using ##### disk. I notice that the system information got wrong CPU for my hardware. It should be i5-560, but it recognize as Dual-Core Intel Xeon. Not sure why it installed SL as 32bit OS not 64bit OS. FYI.
