  1. I have a Asus U30JC notebook with the same GPU, I’ve tried almost every thing I read but still can’t get SL to recognize it properly. I am stuck with a display resolution of 1024X768 . I am sure there are a lot of people including my self who would really appreciate your help. Here what I see in Profiler and my Specs. I am currently running IATKOS 10.6.3, when I tried to upgrad my notebook it hung after “DMOS had arrived”. I am dual booting windows 7 64Bit using EasyBDC and Chameleon 2 rc4. Everything works except video and Wifi. All help tips ideas will be appreciated IF someone has an idea how I can get the default resolution of 1366 x 768@60MHz For those of you who aren’t up and running yet, here’s that I did. I tried several other bootloader but the only one that worked was iATKOS s3 v2. to boot an i5-520M with all 2 cores active.7 (if you're running into reboot issues) your boot options would be "busratio=18". You may optionally specify "cpus=8" in addition to busratio. Customization In order to start the installation and to get my notebook up and running I did not uncheck the default options. Additionally selected these options 1) Modified Kernels “qoopz 10.3.0” 2) Bootloader Options “Graphics Enabler” 3) SATA/IDE “AHCI SATA” 4) PS/2 “Voodoo PS/2” 5) Enablers “NVEnabler” 6) CPU Power Management “Voodoo Power” 7) Laptop Hardware “Voodoo Battery” 8) Laptop Hardware “Card Reader". 1. Post installation: Busratio Thanks to BountyX and wikipedia, we have these values in a nice table. Just find your CPU type. under Voodoo 9 So, for example, to boot an i5-520M with all 2 cores active.7 (if you're running into reboot issues) your boot options would be "busratio=18". You may optionally specify "cpus=8" in addition to busratio. To make this permanent, you have to edit a string file in com.apple.Boot.plist . To edit open up a terminal and type: CODE: sudo pico /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and find the following string: CODE: <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> Change to (change busratio value to match your i5 version): CODE: <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>busratio=12</string> A Big Thanks Display: Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0a72 Revision ID: 0x00a2 Displays: Display Connector: Display: Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x0046 Revision ID: 0x0018 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Motherboard Name: Asus U30JC Series Notebook. Hi Jumbochilli, Reading your post it seems as if you’re the only one in this forum to have the Geforce 310M up and running correctly. “Congratulations” Care to share how? 6. Hi All, I have the HP DV 7 1045eg standard DV 7 configuration. I've finally installed Snow Leopard after 2 weeks of trial and error. I am short on time at the moment but will get back really soon with the details. What I can say right now is that the boot CD, USB flash drive, and external did not work for me. I used a combination of installation procedures. The 32bit works great, still a few small tweaks to do, the 64bit side also works fine with a few more problems that I am working on, what annoys me most in 64bit is the fan noise, it seems to run continuously in high speed which is very loud and annoying. I do hope that all the HP DV 7 owners would put their heads together and begin to discuss problems and solutions for the DV 7 series Notebook. I be back soon with more details. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 4096 (2 x 2048 MB) NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 17” WXGA High-Definition AG with BrightView Infinity Display (1440 x 900) Lightscribe Super Multi DVD Writer (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Intel WiFi Link 5100 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards 4 USB 2.0 1 eSata connector 1 HDMI connector 1 IEEE 1394 HP Pavilion WebCam with Integrated Microphone
