ssdezign
Hi all, My motherboard is GA-945pl-s3 rev 2.0 I have a 500GB SATA HDD and SATA DVD-RW in my bios i can't find AHCI mode I can only find these choices: - Disabled - Auto - Combined - Enhanced - Non-Combined So i decided to choose the "Enhanced Mode" and install the IOATAFamily.kext the question now is that decision right or what and also do i need those kexts: - AHCIPortInjector.kext- AplleATIATA.kext - APPLEGENERICPCATA.kext - AppleOnboardPCATA.kext also what is the difference between Disabler.kext & NullCPUPowerManagment.kext? Gringo Vermelho
Look in the manual for your motherboard or use google, and try to find out exactly what 'enhanced' mode means, so that you can use the correct drivers or injectors for your SATA controller. What SATA controller does your motherboard have? (I'm guessing ICH5 or ICH7 without native AHCI mode) What's the Device ID of the controller? Disabler.kext can disable other kexts besides AppleIntelCPUPM.kext. Nullblabla.kext only disables AppleIntelCPUPM.kext.
