Attempted to use this program on Windows 7, it lists all my hardware fine, but when i run the "check hardware compatibility" it runs for a few minutes and then does nothing - no smilies or anything.

Sorry, the server is down. We are migrating servers but it's taking more time than expected.

Meanwhile you can check compatibility manually in this temporary server http://olarila.com/kexts/

If you use Windows and want to check if your hardware is compatible with Mac OS X, check this app, it gets the IDs of your PCI devices from registry and checks if they are compatible.

The app was written by El Coniglio and uses a database generated with contributions by users of the Mac OS version.

Download: System_Info.zip ( 372.13K )

Requires Java JRE to run.

Awesome app! Thanks man!

The download functionality is implemented and working, but it depends on users contributions. As soon as someone upload a kext (how to upload a kext video:

), a parser will open the zip file, check for consistency, parse the plist, repack/rename it then will link to the correspondent kext entry in the system. Once linked, the button will be no longer disabled and it will redirect to the kext zip file.
