Enigma789
I'm just getting ready to build my first Hackintosh, but I'm a little confused about the hard drive configuration. I want to boot OS X on one hard drive, and Windows 7 on another. Does it matter which slot the drive is plugged into on the motherboard when installing OS X? Somewhere I thought I read it had to be in the first SATA slot. Furthermore, I have two more drives I want to use under OS X for storage purposes. Should I just leave those out of the equation until I get OS X up and running?
Qianlong
I have my osx boot HDD plugged into the 1st sata slot. My win 7 hdd is in slot 5. just set your boot drive order in your BIOS and you will be fine after you installed osx just add the other drives and format then for use with osx (Mac OSextended - journaled). if you want win 7 to see those osx drives you could install macdrive. http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/
