I almost given up....I've tried so many different boot cds and different distros from iatkos to the universal 1.06 and nothing. I can get it to install but i keep getting a KP when it tries to boot up. Something along the lines of

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2a8ab2)

and a bunch of random stuff.

Has anyone out there actually got this to successfully install?

If so how?

I'm also having problems installing 10.6 on my XPS 420. 10.5 installed with iATKOS V7 works like a charm. With 10.6 I get it to start the installer, I am able to select the Drive I want to install, but when I click install, it goes to the screen with the progress bar and it stays there forever. I've tried several times and every time it copies about 64MB worth of data and stops! I don't know what to do!!!

IF some one has successfully install 10.6 on an XPS 420, I would also like to know how

PS: I'm using iATKOS S3 (I've tried Ver 1 and 2)

My specs are:

- Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 2394 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

- 3 GB DDR2 SDRAM

- ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

- Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network

- Intel 7.1 channel High Definition Audio

Hi

I've got snow leopard working, but only 10.6.0, no upgrades. I was planning on writing a guide, but as we're on 10.6.4 now, I thought i'd get up to date. but I can't get iAtkos S3 v2 to install. 'Stil waiting for root device'. So I'll write a guide for 10.6.0 if that helps? Might have to give me a week though...
