Hi,

I'm using an ASUS 1005HAB and 10.6.4 which I got working with the newest NBI.

If I use r640 the boot logos look correct. If I upgrade Chameleon to r684 they get squished. Why does this change in the new boot file and what's the best way to fix it?

Thanks,

Probably an issue with the built-in theme.

Install the default theme in /Extra/Themes/Default and adjust the resolution settings in theme.plist and graphics mode flag in /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist to match your native resolution.

Nope. Did both and it had no effect. I've always been using the /extra/themes/default for my default theme and it's been working fine until I changed the boot file. I've also tried the Bullet theme which is doing the same thing with the new boot file. I'd like to use the new boot file because it has the hide Partition command enabled but not at the expense of the aspect ratio being messed up. When it's booting with the new boot file if I check the vesa modes it doesn't show 1024x768x32 at all. Could this be the issue? I'll put back the other boot file and check to see if 1024x600x32 is there.

Thanks

VESA modes 112, 101, & 111 appear in the video info during chamelon startup if using the older boot file. None of them appear if I use the r684 boot file. Somehow it seems to me that the 1024x600 modes are not being seen by chameleon so it won't use them even if set in the plist files.

?

Thanks

Actually I was wrong. I copied back the r684 boot file and checked and those modes DO appear BUT instead of being listed as being 1024x600 as with the older boot file, they all are now 640x480.

Really strange.

Could it have to do with my bios version? (v2.58)

Thoughts?
