Goroner Posted June 27, 2010 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Hi i tried to fix about this mac with the provided fix in 10.6.2 by hazard hackintosh but didnt worked and than i updated my os x to 10.6.4 and installed the newest legacy kernel , everything seems to be working just fine i got all drivers up and running , but the about this mac is not working , when i press it all of sudden blue screen goes and than again i get back in mac os x on my desktop with everything previously opened gone to closed so like i have restarted the pc just that happens in 4-5 sec. and i dont know where to look for working fix for the about this mac thing, by the way i want to ask someone if knows why i cant register on the theme park forum i want to change chameleon bootloader theme but i cant register everytime i try i get spam icon , i dont do any mistake in the captcha or the addition questions... or you can tell me any other good site for themes, thanks!! andeify Posted July 2, 2010 Share Posted July 2, 2010 ive got a similar problem, i can edit the file manualy (osx86 tools messes it up) and get it to show the right cpu, but the speed shows 3ghz instead of 2.66 (q8400). and its the same in system profiler - used a script to detect and fix the cpu speed and type in about this mac but it still shows 3ghz in system profiler. also the ram speed is detected incorectly. its not a major issue but its anoying i use FakeSMC 2.5 and that doesnt do much either. any help?
