plzzz plzzz anyone help....

I would try in one of the other forums on the site. The one for installing Snow Leopard would be best, as you are more likely to find someone to help. Good luck and hope it works.

plzzz plzzz anyone help....

I'm typing this on a Dell GX520, P4 2.8HT, 945 Express, 3Gb RAM, basically the same specs as yours.

Running 10.6.4 (Legacy kernel), 64 bit. Installed this with Myhack (select chocolate kernel). Amazed how smooth OSX runs on this system.

Except the internal speaker everything is working nice. Used kexts:

  1. AppleAC97Audio.kext (audio)
  2. AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext (Gbit ethernet)
  3. AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext (GMA950, 64bit)
  4. IOATAFamily.kext (PATA support for CD)
  5. RTL8187Bl.kext (Wifi N USB)

The 64bit depends on the exact processor type, mine is a P4-HT with EMT64, however with 1G of memory i would stick to 32bit.

The way I installed it was with an official SL upgrade DVD (10.6.0) and then just follow the MyHack instructions (select chocolate kernel!). From that point I could upgrade to 10.6.3 using the regular Software-upgrade, at that stage I had to remove the new installed AppleIntelFrameBuffer. The upgrade to 10.6.4 was similar.

Just install it for a few times, if in doubt, you can install OSX on a USB harddrive it is not fast, but you can play with the various installation options.

Thanks Erik Oomen for ur help....

But i m just a beginner and know nothing about mac....

i am using windows 7 now...And i almost know everything about it...I wish u have used windows os..

Now i am explaining wats my problem is:

I have deleted a 45.54 GB of partition from my hard drive and kept it for installing mac in it....

See m telling u what i hav done actually..

in one drive at first i have installed win xp then in another drive i have installed win 7 then i have deleted a 45.54 gb partition of my 500gb hdd and installed in it ubuntu 10.04 LTS

and hence when i power up my pc i get a dos screen in which there were about 4-5 options to choose. at the top i got a option to choose the grub loader which boots the ubuntu in the main memory and below few more options that like and at the bottom i get a option of choosing the windows boot loader. After entering in this option then i get two more options to choose either the previous version of windows(i,e win XP) and the other one is of choosing win 7.

I hav told u all these in such a details because i want to do the same for mac..

Means i want to have ubuntu, the 2 win os and mac in my pc and will get a option to start whichever i want...

Now heres the point of my main doubt..

see suppose u downloaded a bootable iso file of win 7 from internet then what generally people do... they just use to burn the iso file using nero burning rom or some other application on a dvd and so get a option to choose to boot from the dvd and install it on ur hard drives parttion it uses either fat or ntfs type file system.....

now the point is i have downloaded the mac dvd whose size is 6.13 gb and i think it is of 10.6.4 version.. but the file is of extention .dmg...

Here i got the main trouble....

1st of all tell me that the kernel i needed according to my pc is there in the dmg file already or not, if not then how do i can modify it....

how can i will be able to burn the dmg file on a dvd so that i can boot from it and can able to install it on my deleted 45.54 gb of partition which i kept blank only for mac....

plz tell me the details and with the screenshots of each step if u can....

plzz help me m just crazy to use mac in my pc... plz help...!!!

Erik already gave you the hint (MyHack and Chocolate kernel) so try here http://osx86.sojugarden.com/installer/. And I suggest you post in this forum http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showforum=178 which is about 10.6 installation. You will find way more people there to help for this particular situation.
