Sai.Raghu.31 Posted June 25, 2010 Share Posted June 25, 2010 Hello Everyone, I just finished installing iATKOS 5i on my Dell Inspiron 530 and before I continue, here are my specs: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 500 GB Harddrive 3 GB Ram Quad Core Q6600 Processor Motherboard and processor fall under the G33 Series Chipset and Audio and everything else is default. While I was doing this installation, I followed two guides, both of which, the users had Dell Inspiron 530's and they used iATKOS 5i. Here are the two links to their tutorials: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=146330 http://www.greglincoln.com/2009/01/22/hack...30-mac-os-1056/ In the installation, I left everything default but selected these additions: OHR, which fixes shutdown/restart issues Intel SATA (the non ACPI version, thanks to a tip in the InsaneMac forums) ntfs (for read/write ntfs support, if you want it) These options were also selected by both the users in both the guides and it worked fine for them. But for me, the installation went quite smoothly however, after the computer restarted after the installation. The screen was spotty and black and white.
