hi all,

the possibility to create a RAID1 with diskutility is a great feature, but...

is it safe?

my planned setup is:

HDD1:

Partiton 1: OSX

Partition 2: Data (RAID1 with HDD2, Partition 2)

HDD2:

Partition 1: OSX Backup

Partition 2: Data (RAID1 with HDD1, Partition 2)

is it possible to create a RAID1 with diskutility on OSX86? its not nessesary to boot from.

what happens, when one HDD crashes? what happens with my dates?

thx,

Mikemad

Raid1 is mirroring and safe, that means when one disk is broken your data are still on the 2nd disk. Raid0 isn´t safe.
