drule
I've been labelling my system as a MacPro3,1 in my SMBIOS.plist, mainly because this model ended up in my 'About' dialog ages ago However, after reading a post about the different GPUs listed in AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext, I had a look at the info.plist in it. Well, the MacPro4,1 key (under AGPM) has the correct vendor ID for my video card (9500 GT). So what would I be better off doing? My system: nVidia 9500 GT 512MB video Pentium D 820 Intel 945GCZ MB 3GB RAM ICH7 2 x PATA DVD writers SATA and eSata with AHCI enabled BT MightyMouse
Gringo Vermelho
Use a Legacy AGPM kext and replace MacPro4,1 with MacPro3,1, or move the code for your video card over to the MacPro3,1 part. Don't use MacPro4,1 model identifier if you don't have a Nehalem architecture CPU.

What if I just renamed that key, in the 10.6.3 AGPM kext, from MacPro4,1 to MacPro3,1? Thanks for the help.
Gringo Vermelho
Yes, and yes, that's what I meant...I forgot that there's no MacPro3,1 entry in AGPM.kext.
