NTFS won't mount, but can boot into it

I have my windows 7 set to the default partition, so I can boot into that, and from there I can also choose to boot into Snow Leopard which works fine too, but in the chameleon bootloader and in OS X, the ntfs partition isn't recognized or mounted. In disk utility, it is grayed out as disk03, cannot be mounted, and OS X seems to think it's FAT formatted (which it's not). Incidentally I only noticed this problem after updating to 10.6.4. Could it be a bug, or was the update a coincidence? Otherwise, any ideas? I've reformatted to NTFS and it's not recognized, and have uninstalled and reinstalled NTFS 3g with no luck.

Thanks in advance!
