campino98
Hi guys my install was ok, using deadmoo's image. I have a Toshiba A75-S209 laptop (p4 Prescott) The user manual says my sound is Realtek ALC259. When I use dxdiag in windows it says vendor 1002, Dev 4341 (isn't vendor 1002 ATI??) Anyway sound does not work . it doesn't even appear in the devices section i did try to add the 0x43411002 line to the sound kext, but nothing happened, i tried to put the line in ich 4, ich 5 and ich 6 section and also in the NVIDIA AC97 section. Which is the right section? or should I do anything else?? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2221-realtek-alc259-sound-not-working/ Share on other sites
LeCornutier
I got a ac97 soundcard with the same device id and vendor id. That's what I get when I try and load the kext: 16IOAC97AudioCodec is not compatible with its superclass, 9IOService superclass changed? kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext load failed for extension AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext (run kextload with -t for diagnostic output) Any ideas? It seems like this is totally unsupported...
